Here Comes the Judge

 Dec 19 2025 Fair Judge

"Christ never verbally abused those who verbally abused him. When he suffered, he didn’t make any threats but left everything to the one who judges fairly." Jesus knew that God was in control and so even though he had never done any wrong in his life, he let others wrong him, because he knew in the end that God would reward him. His actions portray an example of what the Lord calls "walking in love." Because he was insulted and called names and put down and shamed and cursed and reviled but he didn't do unto others what they did to him. He took the abuse in order to demonstrate that he didn't feel the same way about them that they felt about him. No. He loved them, he cared for their well being, and he cared for their soul. He wanted to give them life eternal. He wanted them to live with him forever. But instead of accepting the gift he offered they spit in his face and tore his beard out and pierced his skull with thorns so that the blood ran down his face. It didn't change his opinion of them. It only made him sad that they continued to hate and do evil. He couldn't force them to go to heaven. He allowed them to go to hell. One day they will see him again, "See, he is coming in the clouds and every eye shall see him, even those who pierced him." That will not be a good day for many people, "and his coming will mean bitter sorrow to every tribe upon the earth." So when you suffer remember that God is in control. This too will pass, but once you see the Lord, all your suffering will cease. "First of all you must realise that in the last days mockers will undoubtedly come." So let them mock, let them revile, let them scoff, and leave them be. Some people you just can't help. All you can do is pray and say, "Lord if only they knew what they were giving away, they wouldn't act that way."
