MAY 11 2026 Jesus Never Lies
In the end, the sheep will
be separated from the goats. The wheat will be sifted from the chaff.
The good trees will be planted and the bad trees will be cut down.
There are only two sides to this story. Which side are we on? If
we're not sure we're a sheep, then we had better make it right with
Jesus and get on the right side. All sheep, those who have trusted
Jesus with their souls, are headed for the same place. It matters not
where we came from, or what we did, or who we are; none of these
distinctions make any difference to Jesus. If we have trusted in him,
we are his sheep. If we haven't trusted in him, we are not his sheep.
He is no respecter of persons. He is not prejudiced. He is not
partial. He cannot be unfair. He leaves the choice up to us, whether
or not we want to be his sheep.
When our spirit is
joined once more with the Father, we become sheep again. The old
beastly nature is removed. We're his. He's remade us. He takes us and
makes us new. The Father sees only Jesus and his sacrificial blood,
when he sees us. He doesn't see our sins, faults, and failures. He
talks to us like we're his friends. He helps us, leads us, feeds us,
keeps us. What more could we want? He does chasten us when we do
wrong, and he reprimands us when we fail, but his love for his sheep
never changes, never ends, and will never fade away. We're glad we've
found this truth. We're glad we can be unafraid before God. We're
glad we have his free gift of salvation, which we did not earn and
which we could never pay for. God is not a man. He cannot lie. He
loves his sheep as much as he loves his only begotten Son. --
