APRIL 14 2026 Prime Candidate
Your
time is short. It is limited. If you don't make the right choice in
this life, you will be out of choices in the next. Who wouldn't
change their mind when they see the doors of darkness swinging open
to draw them in? That would be the same kind of decision an unlucky
groom might be making, as his future father-in-law fingers the
trigger to the shotgun. The poor groom might be mouthing the words of
love and devotion to his pregnant bride, but inside he might be
wishing he were a thousand miles away. God will not honor a decision
made under coercion of inescapable judgment, and this principle holds
true even in our own courtrooms. You only go around once in this
life, contrary to some opinions, so you had better make the best of
your decision. God, because of his very nature, is not going to drop
a hammer on your head forcing you to accept his grace, but he will be
cut to the heart if you decide to shut him out.
Don't let guilt, inferiority, or condemnation stop you from approaching God. He made you and by that very fact you are a part of him. What good does hiding from God do anyone, no matter what decision they make toward God? Make a start by finding out where you are willing to let God into your life and go from there. If you have sinned, you are a prime candidate to become a Son of God. Jesus gave His life for sinners, and all have sinned, and fallen way short of the perfection of God, but the gift of God is eternal life. Just receive it. You will never achieve the ideal perfection of God in this life. You will never be good enough to earn eternal life (how can you earn life?). All you have to be good at, is not wanting to be lonely forever. Let God be God in your life. Give him a chance. Try trusting him. You can always go back to running your own show, because God won't make you do anything you don't want to do. It's the devil who will try to stop you from coming to God. Why don't you doubt your doubts and put your trust in the Creator of heaven and earth?
